Jesus has never stopped interceding for us, even us in the USA. You can't blame God for the mess this country is in. His word is clear on what He requires from us believers, and frankly, the majority of (us) Christians haven't been up to task in fulfilling those requirements (righteousness, prayer without ceasing, repentance, etc.) But, He is still God, He is still merciful, and He still stands by His word. He promises that if we will humble ourselves, seek His face (not just His hand) and turn from our wicked ways" then He will hear from heaven and heal our land. As long as He is on the throne, there is hope for this country.

You may not believe this, but don't you dare mock those of us who do...

“Us” as in Christians. I as a Christian adhere to the Word Of God meaning scripture. It is not about any certain country or candidate it is about our relationship with Father God through Jesus Christ.
I am praying HARD for my country and will not give in to cynicism or defeatism. Our country CAN be great again if we will turn from our immoral ways. Whether that ever happens or not I WILL CONTINUE TO PRAY in faith that it will and do what I can to see it to fruition.

There is nothing wrong with us asking for God’s help for the U.S., especially since the U.S. has such a big influence on the world, Japan included. I see that you have been living there for awhile.
