I agree with you.
THis is a VERY long shot at this point - the MSM will squash this and the Obama campaign will do whatever is needed to put and end to this.
It reminds of Clinton - the bimbo eruptions, whitewater, etc.... Obama and his MSM lackey’s will do enough to cover it up, make it seem trivial or “hateful” during the heat of the campaign.
It will all come out in spades sooner or later, again, like Clinton, but at that point, people will only be able to say “I told you so.”
Won’t everyone be happy if Fitzgerald is fired? Isn’t this the same guy who went after Scooter Libby, et al?

I’m thinking that Obama gets a hint of major trouble within the next ten days. You’ll see him cancel an entire day of campaigning while legal advisers consult what the options are at this point. Because of the treatment of Palin in the Alaska episode...the Democrats will have to keep their mouth shut to avoid double-standards
My guess is that McCain and the top level of the Republicans knew of the timing of this investigation and have played their entire strategy with that schedule. With an announcement of legal trouble and the impact...Obama loses five percent of his vote immediately. With the McCain “surge” underway....I see a potential ten-point win.
Same case as with a McCain win. Republican electoral victories have all ceased to be legitimate in the eyes of the opposition.
