This election I voted early.. Even though I’m from Illinois I wanted to send a message saying that not everyone from Illinois likes the Messiah..

Thanks for the ping. I had come to the same conclusion as to the various polling organizations: IBD/TIPP seems less biased than the rest of them.

Funny thing about new hampshire...
http://www.wmur.com/politics/17806364/detail.html

CONCORD, N.H. — A national research group said New Hampshire’s official election Web site is the worst in the country.

The election sites of all 50 states and the District of Columbia were rated by the Pew Center for the States, a nonprofit research group in Washington, D.C.

The ratings are divided into five categories and point values are assigned to each category. New Hampshire’s site scored 33 out of 100, making it 51st. Iowa was ranked best, at 77. The average was 58.

The report looked at whether the Web sites could be found easily and used by voters seeking information, including confirming if they are registered, finding out how to register, finding out where to vote and what candidates or issues are on the ballot. It said New Hampshire lists polling places, but does not include a locator for them, does not allow voters to confirm if they are registered and does not show sample ballots.

I'm sure not seeing the signs or hearing the talk about Obama like I did about Kerry or Gore. It's like everyone is afraid to “show their hand” to their friends and neighbors this time, here in central PA. Since my experience has been that conservatives always hold their cards close (to avoid being slammed by their leftist friends) and liberals are always very open about being on the party bandwagon, I see the quiet as a good sign for McCain. The leftists going for McCain wouldn’t dare say so (too politically incorrect), while the conservatives going for McCain would continue to be quiet (to avoid the accusations of racism. That leaves the “independents”, who would have no reason to hide their support of Obama, but every reason to keep their McCain views quiet.

An additional positive for McCain is the statewide voter registration database that is checked when you register. That is preventing students from voting both at home in PA and as school (not that THAT ever happened...). I think that database is why Guv Ed is worried about PA not being able to hold the line for Obama.

Maine eh! Well, I’m doing my part.... The Portland area of Maine is Sickenly Socialistic, but central and northern Maine is still remarkably American. I thing 2 EV’s are going to McCain!

Now we can make money from the inaccuracies in the polls.

interesting post

Very. This maps closely to the result you get if you drain the Dem oversampling out of the major polls and add 2 or 3 points to McCain for people fibbing to pollsters.
