This is by far the shortest and best vanity in awhile.

Why — is that what it will cost to make the three or four largest democrat cities disappear?

Not necessarily, it really is going to depend on the grassroots. A movement, if it starts early and has the right hook, can overcome a billion dollars of ads.

Wouldn’t it be cheaper to enforce the law regarding contributions?

I save a little every month to donate to conservaitves come election time. If Jindal or Sarah are the candidates I’ll max out like I did with Bush in the primaries and the general.

Obama is already fundraising for his re-election bid. He’ll have a cool billion in the bank, I presume.

That, plus the need for about $2 Billion worth of favorable and fawning press coverage over 4 years to level the field.

Lets ask George Bush for a piece of the “Bail Out” money before he leaves. I mean what is a puny little Billion Dollars?

This expense and length of time spent in the campaign are both absurd and dangerous. Both Jindal and Palin are people of modest means. Would they have to "sell their souls" to become President. Actually, I'd like to see a clean and informative six month campaign. Of course, I'd also like to win the lottery.

The changes necessary to change the current system all have serious constitutional problems. Just now, I am sitting back wondering if George Soros just bought himself a President.

Well, the Republican party should consider running a small government conservative, then.

I’m thinking we should start fundraising for a third party candidate or at least a really conservative Republican candidate right now.

I like the idea of having a series of 3 or 4 nationwide single day runoff races and 90 days at the end to campaign for the general election.

I also think candidates should debate the opposition party some during the primaries so we can really see who can hold their own before we’re saddled with a pathetic candidate.

Screw it. No politician is worth anywhere near that. Give my money as a campaign contribution? No way. They take enough of my money.

I have been thinking about the since the elections, and the outrageous amounts Comrade Stalin raised in these elections, a lot of it from Palestinian and other terrorist sources.
What Gov Plain needs to do, is set up a PAC after a respectable interval, with a a well organized well run fund raising committee, and set in motion the mechanism to go toe to toe with Obambi in 2012 in raising money.
Lets face it, most of us wee not prepared to give even a penny to McPain, untill Gov Palin joined the ticket. McCain had spent too much time trashing conservatives, for conservatives to waste their hard earned money on this guy.

As we do the post mortem on why we got our butts kicked in this election, campaign fundraising should be scrutinized in great detail. We need to come up with a way to convince the poor and middle-class to support our agenda and send in checks - even if it’s only a measely $100 at a time. We’re not good at that and the Dems are, sad to say. And we aren’t going to be able to sell our agenda to the poor and middle-class unless we dress it up better than we did this time!
