Ok I have a little idea lets put a 7 day waiting period for posting replies and topics And I know It aint up to me but just a thought

Actually Al, that's a BIG idea and a great one.

To develop your idea just a bit ...

a.) New posters can reply to any post, however for the first week their responses are limited to say, 300 characters. If they behave themselves, no limit after that week passes by.

b.) New posters passing the above one week 'test' period will be permitted to originate threads based on actual news articles from across the 'Net, but NO vanity posts until the 31st day after they register.

c.) Any new poster who signs up, posts nothing in the way of responses in a week, and/or posts no news-based threads inside 30 days, but waits for Day 8 or Day 31 to begin posting unrestricted responses and/or threads is suspended for 8 and/or 31 days.

I think those steps would inhibit the trolls and drivebys in a major way, just my .02 cents.
