Even though he is not a practicing lawyer at present, the Bar application is probably signed under oath. Lying under oath is perjury. Perjury is a felony.

Why? He's not a practicing lawyer.Oh so if he lied on the application, and that lie is exposed, it is immaterial unless he starts practicing law? Well I guess he could then reapply for the bar in another state and no big deal then right?
