I actually think they will “shoot themselves” within the first 6-months of Obama’s Presidency.
You see, the liberals in this country FEAR that the conservatives are going to make all abortions illegal, even where the mother’s life is genuinely at risk in some emergency situation. . and that women who have abortions are going to be sent to prison.
So, they have gone to the extremes in knee jerk reactions.
The dirty little secret is that the “back alley abortions with coat hangers” stories are likely mostly fabrications. Women down throughout the decades in this country have found so-called doctors who were accommodating to their “choices”. No one stopped them, and, indeed, no one sought to stop them or knew about their personal business. I assume that the Roe woman could have handled her situation without being used to make it public business.
I’m against any kind of abortion, but I’m also well aware that I can’t make anybody else honor my moral values. If the government hadn’t gotten into the middle of it, it would have not become a great big money-making “industry”. Then women could “choose” in private (and PAY for it themselves) rather than making us pay for her radical birth control under the guise of “healthcare”.
When a conservative says “overturn Roe v. Wade”, libs think they mean to put women who have abortions in jail.
