Their financial bankruptcy follows their intellectual and moral bankruptcy.

I wonder if a bail-out will be arranged.

McClatchy stock closed today at $ 1.63 per share. Getting close to zero. Maybe they can hold on long enough to celebrate the coronation of BO and then go bankrupt.

i am going to shout now...

WOULDN’T THIS BE A GOOD TIME FOR CONSERVATIVES TO START BUYING UP THESE LIBERAL RAGS??

after all - i think the only way to win this war is by establishing our own (conservative) media outlets.

i think that the democrats and the new Nobama admin. are going to prop up and bailout the dinosaur media. They need “The New York Obama Times” and the others to survive so that they can continue to be a force of liberal influence in perpetuity.

i wonder what the legal and ethical ramifications would be with the government taking over the media... hmmmm... not that it would matter to the liberals.

What would happen if Freerepublic.com bought them?

seems at such low prices they are ripe for a hostile takeover and quick bankruptcy to wash out the unions.

Ya know....the only value of media in the end, on a large scale, is to reinforce the diktat of a central government. The current media, while having proven they CAN elect someone, probably helped elect a non-qualified, un-Constitutional candidate. Their utility to the state is minimal in that regard at this point....and the next question that follows...is how strong IS the diktat of the central government without a media of integrity???

We’re about to find out.

Hey that's not fair. The mainstream media has done a lot of in-depth investigation into Obama lately.
