I understand what you are saying and take it all into consideration when listening to Pastor Manning. I do not plan on becoming a member of his church. I consider him another 'actor' in this grand play....

When listening to how Manning talks about Obamas Mama, I understood it to be that he calls her 'white trash' based on a lot of her behaviour at the time chronicled through various outlets....that she was a 'freespirit' at best and 'loose' at worst....

He did support McCain and Palin on an economic and moral basis so, I suppose he is not too racist to support non-blacks....

Just my opinion.... ;)

I don’t mean to be a pill, but I can’t imagine that I’d be seeing all this happy talk on FR if some preacher had been calling Sarah Palin vile names based on her mother’s pre-marital sex life, or if said preacher accused her of having a lesbian affair. In fact, I seem to remember that when some magazines and newspapers did the same sort of thing to Palin that Manning is doing, people were up in arms. They weren’t calling Us Magazine “another actor in this grand play” and making excuses for them.

If David Duke had promoted MCain/Palin, would you be looking forward to his appearance on a radio show, and waiting for him to upload messages to YouTube?

We’re supposed to be better than this.

Lastly, suporting McCain doesn’t mean he’s not a racist. There are some people who are just fine with every race as long as we don’t commit the horrible crime of intermarrying. That’s part of the reason Manning condemns Obama and it was a major theme of his Obama girl ranting. The fact that she was a white girl bothered him just as much as the fact that she was shaking the goods. Or at least, he wanted it to bother his listeners that much.

Really, have we gotten this desperate?
