If the meeting took place after he resigned his Senate seat, then he was a private citizen. He is not President elect until the Electoral College votes on the 15th.

Point is: As a private citizen, he is as much subject to arrest and prosecution as any of us.

So the issue then revolves around what was said during the meeting. If Big Rod tried to bribe him, and he failed to report the attempted bribery to the authorities, isn’t there some federal law he violated, like failure to report a crime? Or conspiracy?

Huh, what? Oh, I must’ve been having a dream or something. What’s for dinner?
