Twas the night before Kwannza and all through the hood.
Karenga Melena was up to no good.
So what if he put some chick’s toe in a vice.
Nobody said revolution was nice.
It always runs from the day after Christmas through New Years.

Oh, that’s right...
1. I always remember when it starts because Dec 26 is the Britsh Boxing Day holiday, not a sport but to do with an old Post Office tradition of sorts
2. The several days bit is an attempt to undermined Chanukah with its 8 days of celebration. Some anti-Semite leanings there
3. Like Chanukah, the kids get presents every day etc
4. Like Christmas the colors are red and green with black instead of white these 3 colors are in the stripes of the flag of an African country....
and so on...
If you didnt know better you would be convinced that k has been around for centuries instead of just a couple of decades...
k is American made and not an old tradition from a “home” country
You’re absolutely right, and it’s sad that many decent American black people think it’s part of their history, like St. Patrick’s Day for Irish, and participate in something of which the origin is pure evil.
Happy Kwanza!
Don’t forget the vice with a toe in it!
I overheard 2 security guard in my office building discussing Kwanzaa. One was from Ghana and the other from Nigeria. They both agreed that they never heard of Kwanzaa back home.
On the first day of Kwanzaa Karenga gave to me
A Marxist in a red tree.
On the second day of Kwanzaa Karenga gave to me
Two Jaily birds,
And a Marxist in a red tree.
On the third day of Kwanzaa Karenga gave to me
Three Dixie Chicks.
Two Jaily birds,
And a Marxist in a red tree.
On the fourth day of Kwanzaa Karenga gave to me
Four Lenin busts.
Three Dixie Chicks,
Two Jaily birds,
And a Marxist in a red tree.
On the fifth day of Kwanzaa Karenga gave to me
Five fel-on-ies.
Four Lenin busts,
Three Dixie Chicks,
Two Jaily birds,
And a Marxist in a red tree.
On the sixth day of Kwanzaa Karenga gave to me
Six Castro jumpsuits.
Five fel-on-ies,
Four Lenin busts,
Three Dixie Chicks,
Two Jaily birds,
And a Marxist in a red tree.
On the seventh day of Kwanzaa Karenga gave to me
Seven Mao pajamas,
Six Castro jumpsuits,
Five fel-on-ies,
Four Lenin busts
Three Dixie Chicks,
Two Jaily birds,
And a Marxist in a red tree.
