Here is another example of how the "Religion of Peace" treats its women. Setareh, an 80-year-old Iranian Muslim woman has never married, but one day her childhood sweet heart showed up and proposed. Sounds like a beautiful story right? Well she cant get married without her father's permission. And since her father abandoned her family 78 years ago, she doesn't know where he is or even if he is still ALIVE? More below:

Well yes, there IS the small matter of the childhood “sweetheart”, which brings up her “harlotry” when she was younger, which DOES call for stoning.
But, she IS 80 years old. Maybe they can see their way clear to using very small rocks.
We all MUST remember that it’s Christianity, not Islam, that is the real danger to freedom...

There are devout people in all religions as there are those who are religious liberals. A lot goes on behind closed doors in Iran, not all follow the strict form of the religion, only those who are in complete control of the country are the religious fanatics. Sad state of affairs, from our point of view, but then again we are dealing with a different culture. Her father is most likely dead, they’ll get married, end of story.
I asked my father-in-law for permission to marry his daughter.

This reminds of my parents and their rule that if you brought home your girlfriend or even your fiancee (boyfriend/fiance for my sisters) you could not sleep in the same room. Only married couples were aloud to sleep in the same room together. Well, a number of years after my grandfather died my grandmother came for a visit with a gentleman friend. Were they going to let my dad’s mother be an exception to the rule?
