“why would that make them more likely to attack us?”
As I have heard it explained, most of the radical Isamists efforts are focused on Israel, which is being attack constantly. For example, suicide bombing of buses and rocket attacks. We don’t see that happening in the US yet since 9 11.
If Israel is gone, all of their energy could be focused on what they call the Big Satan.
Seems unlikely...
