The point about the Arab states is really important. Unfortunately the EU continue to step into it.
Not satisfied with Israel rejecting their suggestion of a 48 h cease-fire next week the Czech FM (a good man from what I’ve heard), the Swedish FM (anti-Israel, pro-Carter, pro-Mersheimer and Walt), and the Austrian FM (whenever could Israel expect anything good from Austria?) will travel to Israel to try and organize a cease-fire.
but the Arab world has been critisizing Israel AND Hamas. That has NEVER happened before. The critisizing of the Jewish State by the Arab world is neccesary to placate the radical Muslims that infect each of their states. The fact that Hamas is also being critisized is a message to Israel to keep up the good work.

Arab Muslim states are primarily Sunni, Iran (non Arab) Muslim state are primarily Shite. Shite are causing almost all the problems in the ME
Hamas and Hezbollah are Iranian proxies attacking Israel basically right in the middle of Sunni countries. The only reason Hamas and Hezbollah are tolerated by Arab states is because they harass Israel. They have no other useful purpose. The Palestinians make for great propaganda tools by Iran, otherwise the Arab world could care less about them. The Arab world needs Israel/Palestinian conflict to keep Iran busy attacking them as to not start trouble in their own countries. After all Jordan kicked out Arafat 40 years ago to start this mess
The countries surrounding Israel are at a certain level at peace with them.
Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, except for Hezbollah faction, even Syria knows they have to live with the idea of Israel as a neighbor.
Iran try to influence the Sunni states by having proxies in Lebanon and Gaza. One day this will come to a head, especially when Iran completes it's nuclear program under the Obama administration

They should travel to Gaza to "reason" with Hamas (HA!). Why talk to Israel? That's like talking to the jailers of Charles Manson to seek his release. He's there because of his actions. Hamas is in their predicament based completely on their choices and actions.
