Isn't there a BS ruling or something that gives the nod to federal legislation when a state law is at odds with the federal edict? Like the people in California who are prosecuted for having/using medical marijuana which is legal under state law but a no-no under federal law?
I'm pretty sure that's the case, and it probably even has a name, but I'm no lawyer and I've never spent the night at a Holiday Inn Express. Although my favorite steak place is in the parking lot of one. Does that count?
