Freepers, conservatives, and countrymen. I come to explain Saturday Night Live not to praise it.

Just keep in mind that every time you click on CNN’s web site you are paying them money because of the advertising. You also increase their ‘ratings’ because every visit is counted. Thats one reason I came to Free Republic for news.

Fey is a jester, true enough. But, her “satire” (really just the sort of puerile mocking every jr. high class clown does) was reported as if it were fact.

For example; Palin said that you could “see Russia from Alaska”. That's an objective truth, and relevant because every Alaskan grew up with a special perspective on the geo-politics of the cold war — being on the front-line, as they were. The Russians continue to test U.S. air defenses over Alaska.

Fey said (mocking Palin): “I can see Russia from my home”. If Palin had actually said that, then it would show she was stupid and ignorant. Palin didn't say it — Fey did. And yet, the MSM, other “court jesters”, and millions of liberal bloggers continue to repeat the Fey line, as if it were spoken by Palin.

The truly stupid ones are those (millions apparently) that confuse juvenile “satire” with reality. Are you one of those people?

It’s so funny how all the newsmedia outlets have chosen to characterize those ten minutes of footage of Palin being interviewed. Some say she was ‘whining,’ some say she scathingly ‘attacked’ the media, etc.

Yet, from my own viewing, I detected absolutely zero whining, and her criticism could more aptly be described as ‘bemusedly chiding’ the media, for its biased reporting. She was pitch perfect. Again, probably another reason she so unnerves the media elites. As much as they’d like to see her descend into a puddle of victimology, or lose her composure and start ranting-and-railing, Palin just exudes too much inner strength and confidence. Instead, she just dismisses them with a roll of the eyes (and a little aside that they are ‘not the center of the universe), as though they are just gnats to her. Which, undoutedly, infuriates them all the more. A pretty remarkable gal. I’m consistently impressed with her.

>If Palin was so stupid as to give Couric an interview, she deserves whatever result she got.<

And that applies to every Republican who seeks face-time on a liberal radio or TV show. What the hell do these dummies expect — fair treatment?

Fey is not responsible for how her schtick was reported.

But, anyone who insinuates that Palin is somehow stupid or ignorant — based on Fey’s schtick; is responsible for what they do. Such people are either stupid and ignorant themselves; or devious character assassins.

I didn’t insuinuate anything about Palin based upon Fey. I directly stated without inuendo or insinuation or hesitation, she was either stupid or ignorant for letting Couric make her look bad.

If that makes you feel better, so be it. However, I can guarantee you that a hostile interviewer, playing the “gotcha” game; could make (almost) anyone — and that includes you — look both stupid and ignorant.

People who can’t handle a hostile interviewer shouldn’t be running for president. If you think Couric exploited her, then you imply what I have been saying.

If you took the time to view the unedited interviews — you'd see that Palin looks neither stupid nor ignorant. Malicious editing, and post-event spin was geared toward creating that impression amongst the gullible.

Consider the Gibson interview. When Gibson asked for Palin’s opinion about the “Bush Doctrine”; Palin’s answer showed her competentence as an Executive. She asked Gibson to clarify his question. This was the only reasonable answer; considering that the notion of a “Bush doctrine” is entirely a fabrication of the MSM. There are numerous operational definitions of the “Bush Doctrine” — Palin could not answer Gibson's question without knowing which one he was referring to. As it turns out, Gibson got it wrong (despite having the crib notes right in front of him). Gibson was the stupid and ignorant one — but, the rest of the MSM pack helped their attack dog when he was down & provided the spin & selective editing. The hoards of hostile leftist bloggers provided the echo chamber effect. Once again, the gullible were taken in.
