There are some errors with the article.

GISS does not use satellite data; it is based on ground station measurements.

Also, the conclusions between this article and the article that it references are different. This article concludes we are entering a cold phase. The referenced article suggests that the GISS data used by Dr. Hansen is erroneous and unreliable.

The referenced article attributes the difference between the GISS data and satellite data to a loss of ground based measurement stations, particularly in areas where things have been getting colder. Thus there is less weight given to areas getting colder.

Good points but the real issue needs to be to bring out all the relevant data and analyses for the public to understand whether this a settled issue or just a sales pitch; for that we need to examine all points.
