You know, it's a tragedy, but the cymbals-clanging primitive, the "Symbolman" primitive, has only himself to blame for it.
The cymbals-clanging primitive had a good established academic and work record, and could have made a mint of money, but chose instead to become a left-wing "journalist," pouring what money he had, and all of his hopes, into that "career."
The last three or four years, having exhausted his wife's resources (including the house in Hawaii), the cymbals-clanging primitive was dependent upon primitive donations for his "journalistic" efforts, and things were really tight.
Sadly, about the only coup the cymbals-clanging primitive managed to carry off was an interview with a fourth-level aide on the John Edwards presidential campaign, which in the scale of coups, wasn't much.
The cymbals-clanging primitive had chased this obscure aide from Boston to New Hampshire down to North Carolina, using up a lot of primitive donations on hotels, motels, and rented automobiles, and when he finally caught up with this minor functionary, all he got was a ".....no comment."
It's all very sad, so much wasted, for so little, if anything at all.
The cymbals-clanging primitive apparently once had a job flying over Alaska photographing the landscape and geographic features for some governmental agency; that was probably a well-paying job, and an exciting one, too.
I know I would've rather been doing that, than running around trying to practice "journalism."

I honestly don’t know why they stopped paying the mortgage, but the way I’m reading their post, it looks like they may have funneled so much money into “fighting the Bush regime” when they were flush, that they may have fallen behind a bit and were trapped when things went sour. So of course, it’s Bush’s fault.
