I ask WHY? Why do the leftists want to destroy Americas What is in it for them as a whole? Wouldn't they be just an ordinary person under the thumb of an oppressive government? do they expect something else that I have yet to understand?
A: The implementation of their preferred "Utopia" (read: Dystopia), usually one in which they are in charge of you.
If you view the behavior of Leftists assuming their objective is the destruction of Western Civilization so that they can implement a Utopia that controls you, then every single one of their behaviors makes sense.

My take on this is to look at everything that goes on in the world as the unfolding of God's hand in mercy and judgment. HE has said that IF in the darkness of our pride we reject HIM, HE'd turn us over to 'madness'. We'd become fools (Romans 1:18-32).
We, as a nation, have rejected God. Leftist, specifically, embrace the culture of infanticide, promiscuity, homosexuality, gaia-ism, and general rampant idolatry (whether it be worship of Big Government, celebrities, self, 'mother-nature', etc).
As such, God no longer restrains their (and our nation's) self-will, as they race to repeat the mistakes of Lenin, Stalin, Pol Pot, and every other communist wannabee who thought Big Government was going to create the new nirvana...
It all revolves around HIM -- and our relationship with HIM. HE has promised the remedy, when HE said:
2 Chronicles 7:13-14
If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people;
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
If we become a people that understand this - we will be fine. IF we refuse to bend the knee to the true God, we will face the end as another nation of fools...
