Irresponsible parents will tend to act irresponsibily. It’s horrifying, of course, but what should we do about? Punish everyone or find a way to punish those who are (ir)responsible? As you pointed out, myspace is not by any means the only way an out of control parent can put their child in danger. There are agencies who have the responsibility to remove children from homes where the parents put them in harm’s way.
Yes, you are right but it’s good if people can educate the fools - maybe they might listen once in a while.
