Someone made the comment that the Stabenow threads are not getting the share of hits that they think they should. My only explanation is this: people (conservatives in particular) have since RWR ended the “Fairness Doctrine” been lulled into a false sense of security on the radio dial. Many of them think that this issue will just blow away like so much fluff and chaff; the danger in that thought process is that IT JUST MAY NOT - we had the fairness doctrine once, and if they can somehow re-enact it again, I PROMISE YOU it will be a WHOLE lot worse than it was before. WAKE UP PEOPLE!

WAKE UP PEOPLE!

I actually called Sen. Stabenow’s office last week and asked if the rumor was true in regard Stabenow reintroducing the new and improved “Fairness Doctrine”. They of course said yes. I then told the young lady to tell Senator Stabenow that we don’t want to listen to liberal whining and it was a HUGE flop and why was it going to be any different now?! Well, she had some lame answer and I then told her that people were talking about the fact that her husband was an executive with liberal talk radio and it seemed to me that there may be a conflict of interest... At that point, the lady was speechless and I told her at the very least Sen. Stabenow could be honest with the American public and call it what it really was UNFAIR to conservatives or possibly the bill to silence conservative opposition through the media. The least liberals could do is be honest in the naming of the bill they would use to shut us up since they can’t be honest about anything else...

I felt better afterward. :)
