Was it really that long ago? Boy, that makes me feel old, but I do remember getting to see them on the Ed Sullivan Show.

I’m 51 and I SO AGREE with you. Do you know what it would take to reunite the Beatles? 2 more bullets.
Flame away but at least play “Time of the Season” by the Zombies while you do.

Too young to have been listening to music in the era they were active in (I could tell you exactly, but trust me, we’d BOTH feel old).
As I said, that’s great that some folks really enjoyed their music, but to the censuses behind them, there’s a much different perception.

yeah. and pioneers on many fronts. I highly recommend Geoff Emericks book. Geoff was the Beatles recording engineer starting with Revolver. George Martin gets a lot of deserved credit for their rich sounds but credit also should go to Geoff’s mic and ground-breaking recording techniques, e.g. vocals through leslies, using speakers as microphones, etc. The Beatles pushed the envelope not only in their writing and performance but through demanding it of those who worked for them.
