Saw this the other day - between gasps of laughter, my wife and I were shouting, “Right on!”. This guy nails it: “Can you wait for it to get back from space?” Bwahaha!!

That little clip = a little Epiphany... I postponed my pity party to realize...
I love to fly (anything, anywhere), in the Military I have thousands of hours with various responsibilities and many different A/C.
The excitement of any kind of flight has never left me, on any mundane Commercial flight I will always get a window seat, all of my Military flights (even long boring flights over the Pacific, I would never sleep and be glued to what ever window was available), Jumping out of an Airplane at any height is the most exhilarating and now little teeny tiny airplanes that can actually lift my lard ass into the sky are absolutely the coolest (with the exception of ever being able to fly in an SR71... if that ever happened to me it would be enough for me to say I have finally done everything and I would probably expire in a puddle of pure quivering joy).

I am a Farm kid from Oregon that has seen more, (I have been to so many places, visited more countries and have actually flown in the air above the Earth for thousands of hours...) more than Kings, Presidents and the very most affluent people on the Planet at the time of my birth, they would be jealous just to know where I have been, just knowing how I got there and for them to know what I did en route would send them to their next great adventure with smiles on their faces.

So in a Generation the ability for Transcontinental Airborne Travel went from only the very Affluent, Kings and Presidents to accessible by and to a simple farm kid from Oregon.

Back to the pity party (Epiphany) reference, even as bad as the Economy is now, I’ll just tighten the belt a little. I will still find a way to fly, something, somewhere, somehow and KEEP working so that my kids and their kids can experience even more than I have, both endeavors are the passions of my life.

TT

I despise Politicians and Lawyers along with all of their games, until I need one, I still think the tree needs a drastic pruning, they have fruited and now they are drawing flies. But working with them to save Private Aviation may be necessary.

"What happened next? Did you fly through the air, incredibly, like a bird? Did you partake in the miracle of human flight, you non-contributing zero?"

Very funny!

Last year, I was in a DC-9 flying out of Africa, and the pilot used the Great Pyramid of Cheops as a ground marker - as we flew over it, he banked hard right, in a 90 degree turn. So I was staring straight down, at the Great pyramid, sitting in a chair at 30,000 feet.

Wow.

I just checked out a couple of Louis C.K.’s standup skits. On the Conan clip, he almost sounded like a free market/Rand conservative at the end. But maybe that was just one enlightening moment he had because he seems to be very liberal... at least on one issue.
