The estimated impact on disposable household income due to rising energy prices would then reach anywhere between $4,022 and $6,752. And because an energy tax is regressive, it will fall heaviest on poor and lower middle class folks who spend more of their income on energy.
President Obama himself described his plan in an interview with the San Francisco Chronicle last year this way:
Under my plan of a cap and trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket... whatever the industry was, uh, they would have to retrofit their operations. That will cost money. They will pass that money on to consumers.

And since poor people do not use energy, this tax will only affect the rich.
Glory to the Obamessiah!
And Obambi will continue to keep the WH thermostat at 80.
Of course, once those huge energy costs kick in the Dems will find a need for a new federally funded program to help the poor out with their energy costs. Something along the line of food stamps. You didn’t think the Dems haven’t already thought this out did you? Maybe Hugo Chavez can help out.

To those who don’t pay attention, a check in the mail for $800 is worth more than a silent cost of a heating bill rising $1000.
“Under my plan of a cap and trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket... whatever the industry was, uh, they would have to retrofit their operations. That will cost money. They will pass that money on to consumers.”
Why? Because, their Savior was not talking to them. NOT!!

Welcome to Michigan over the past 7 years. The fifty of us that are still working in the state are paying for the million that are out of work. Thanks to our “Canadian” style of Government. Alas, our Governor is on the Obama economic team.
Thank goodness only the rich use electricity.
PING...
TO those who don’t pay attention, in a couple years they will demand that something be done about high energy bills, and left will blame greedy businessmen so they can infringe on more of the market.
Well, of course, that way he can work in shirtsleeves - showing he is just a regular guy.
...So many outrages, so little time, these fed clowns are making me puke blood. And health care won’t cover it!!!
