US Senator Chucky "the Cheese" Schumer did a 180 on the issue of gay marriage this week. Not only did say that he supported it, but he went a step further and called for overturning the 1996 federal Defense of Marriage Act.
This really doesn't come as a shock, given that he's "the last man" standing, so to speak, in terms of statewide officials in New York that wasn't yet on board with the gay marriage agenda. With that political cover gone (first the governor and more recently, Hillary Clinton), he caved.
Schumer declined a request for an interview to discuss the change, but spokesman Josh Vlasto released a one-paragraph statement the next day that read: "I have thought long and hard about it. I have always believed that one of the great traits in America is we seek equality and should always strive to achieve it. We may not have been ready in 1996 when this issue first arose in Congress but I believe we are now."
In addition to supporting gay marriage, Schumer said he supported a repeal of the Defense of Marriage Act, which he had voted for in 1996. ...
This comes on the heels of a gay marriage bill progressing in the New Hampshire legislature, and a similar bill passing the Vermont Senate. The gay rights crowd have targeted New England as the area where they can most likely create a gay marriage "safe zone" in America, (called the "six by twelve" campaign), to make it easier to push nationwide.
And now Chucky's on the bandwagon.

That’s “Chuckie the Cheeser.”
(I won’t actually post the link to South Park’s episode of this, because it isn’t family friendly... but the episode refers to a fictional recreation high called “cheesing” induced by getting sprayed in the face by cat urine. Yes, “cheese” is also the name for a mixture of heroine and decongestants.)
Chuckie is attempting to shore up a new support base after he decimated his Wall Street constituents.
'Nuff said...
If DOMA is repealed then Chuckie could marry Barney.
Does anyone here know a Slavic language?
. . . end of doma.
Schumer declined a request for an interview, when the truth is out hide see msm actions.
Chuckie deserves a big one..
The #2 test for a Conservative is the gay marriage issue. If you are FOR the marriage of men to men, or women to women, you simply cannot be a Conservative.
A big one what???
Ohhhh!
Chuckie needs a chubby?
Never mind!!
