Oooh, I loved it...just not long enough!!! : ) It was so good to see them. Thanks for the post. Glad I saw it!
I miss him and the feeling of stability when he and VP Cheney were at the helm. My heart just aches for our country.

I can tell you that former president George W. Bush got a huge ovation from the crowd. Thank God. I didn't know if the haters would carry the day. Of course this is in the Great State of Texas. Who knows what sort of reception he would get in New York for example.
For all of his faults and weaknesses, some of which contributed to 0's ultimate victory, I have great respect for this man and wish him the best.
I miss having a president with integrity and dignity of office.

d. afraid the teleprompter will be hit by a fast ball.

Same here, NavyCanDo, because there was so much more significance than just throwing out another first pitch.
Thank you for posting.

There was allot more to that pitch that few know about. He had to throw it while wearing a bullet proof vest. He was told to use a closer spot marked of for him for the throw, but he said no thanks. And those cheers? very few of those people even voted for him. And we all know that he was advised not to do it at all because of the danger of another attack.
Despite all of this, What a great night for America when the throw went right down the middle.

His wind-up is great and he’s got a good arm.
He is the only one of us in the country who is enjoying his retirement.

Didn’t hear any boos. I’m sure there were some, but they love Bush in Texas!

Starwise, thanks for the ping.
It was so wonderful to see President Bush (notice I don’t use the former stuff - he’s still my president) pitch that ball. Brought tears to my eyes with memories of his first pitch in 2001.

Oh boy ... tears and chills, again. I'll never forget that day, and the unrelenting courage of Pres. George W. Bush in facing down evil, that day and throughout.
Two more views of that event, HERE ... AND HERE
More tears and prayers for our America .. we fight on.
