In California, mending roads apparently costs $25 million a mile.

Which is ludicrous. You could gold-plate them for that.

So yes, paying taxes just props up Unions and incompetents. But I repeat myself.

If the politicians need more money, all they have to do is stop the social programs and put the democrat base to work. That’s all they have to do. They have a huge labor force out there that can be tapped. The ants are barely able to feed their own families. It’s about time everyone does their fair “share.”

Just what I needed - a student with an accent to call me un-American.

Flame away.

Actually, this sentiment was expressed fully by Ralph Kramden 60 years ago.

Those "unamerican founders" put the following in Article One of the Constitution

Representatives and direct Taxes shall be apportioned among the several States which may be included within this Union, according to their respective Numbers,

It took liberal idiots and RINO's to repeal it.

God only asks for 10%. Our politicians think they're wiser than he is. Lucifer thought the same thing. Go figure.

I have a friend here in the SF Bay Area who is the ultimate Californian. . .her husband makes in the low 6 figures; she is a stay-at-home mom.

They both think paying taxes is not only just fine; it’s great; they say they are “communitarians;” they work for increased parcel taxes so their kids’ schools can get more funding, etc.

California is full of pro-tax people. Nobody minds; I’m telling you.

Contrarily, heirs who simply leave their Daddy’s money in their investments and sip by the poolside pay only 15%.

That used to bother me too, until I realized that daddy already paid the tax on those dollars invested. And depending on when he did, some of those dollars may have been taxed at 70% or higher. If he wants to use that money to support his deadbeat heirs, who am I to say no?

I guess they forgot one of the main reasons we left the British Empire.

Wonder if trhe Founders knew the First Amendment would protect stupidity, ignorance, and mental laziness, to the degree we see, when they wrote it.

Because some with inherited wealth, like Ted Kennedy, work to take YOUR estate’s money while shielding their own.
