Posting this as soon as I found a video - this was done in someone's home.
Edwards' 99 almost entered the crowd. But for a less than two feet of wall, the fence would not have held.
There are injuries reported in the crowd, but no discussion of serious injuries.
I'll put up a better video when I find it.

Saw it and there has to be some injuries after that!
did this just happen?
About 40 minutes ago or so.
bttt
did that dude run across the finish line? does he actually get that spot?
wow
I wonder what NASCAR is gonna look like by 2012.
Trying to imagine 43 multi-ethnic transexuals racing for the Cup in their hybrids.
Go hard or Go home!!
Its fun goin’ fast.
That finish was insane. After the way Edwards hit the fence I would be amazed if no one was injured. He came within a few feet of clearing the fence. That would have been a disaster. Then he came back down on Newman and caved in the drivers side of his car. Newman crossed the finish line in third completely wrecked. Edwards got out of his car and ran to the finish line. He was that close. Keselowski wins his first and Jr came in second. Typical Talladega. Here’s hoping no fans were seriously injured.
LMAO.....Exactly.
...and everyone will be declared a winner. :o)
I know the rules of the game, but I’m wondering if Edwards is doing a little second guessing right now.....
2nd place, with money and car -vs- no finish, no money, no car
Bet that's the first time those fans ever really felt they were getting what they paid for ~ a major adrenalin rush if I ever saw one!
Ain't gonna' get on the front row NO MO'.
WOW!! That fence saved a lot of people!!
Whoah! That was wild!
Almost as dangerous as sitting courtside at an NBA game.
I’m you tube challenged (dial up) but I watched the race. I was hoping Newman could win and expected it would be him and Jr doing the jockeying at the end. It’s amazing the similarities in this race to the Nationwide race yesterday. Jr pushing Newman. Caution right before the end with a few lap shootout. A first time winner. There was some special karma going on at ‘Dega this weekend. Just freakin’ crazy.
From ESPN: 8 fans were injured, none are life threatening.
