If I see them at it someone will be visiting a proctologist to get their GPS back!
Nothing humorous about this. Where are the republican lawsuits on this? This is supreme court material that needs to be submitted now.
Spread the word, alert the people!
If they are breaking the law, then if you see one of these creeps, confiscate their GPS unit and destroy it.
A "Census Worker" was just by here today as I was backing my truck out of the driveway. I stopped my truck in the street and confronted the dweeb. He asked me to confirm the address (WTF?) and if it was a single-family dwelling. He then fiddled with what appeared to be a PDA-type gizmo. All I know is, he never got closer than 100 ft. to my front door.
Come census time, I’ll simply say, “One person lives here. You got what the Constitution authorizes. Now piss off.”
Freep-mail me to get on or off my pro-life and Catholic List:

Obama Says A Baby Is A Punishment
Obama: If they make a mistake, I dont want them punished with a baby.
5 billion......staggers the imagination. That would buy quite a few uniforms and AK-47s.
It’s all about intimidation. This admin will work like the mafia. They want to be able to keep close tabs on their “clients.”
Who would you rather come around your neighborhood? ACORN or a FReeper? If we take the jobs they can't.
This happened before I had read the Acorn/GPS/Frontdoor story. So, unfortunately I answered him. I would not doubt that he had a GPS in his pocket that recorded my "lat/lon" as we spoke.
My advice to anyone is to ask the Census Taker; "Have you ever or are you now affiliated in any way with an organization known as ACORN"
Demand to examine their credentials from the Commerce Dept. authorizing them....and then be as sparing in your answers as fits your mood or political leanings.
If he/she/it admits to ACORN affiliation, I would, politely, but firmly, order him/her/it off my property. They are under indictment in several states - and are a criminal organization. You are within your rights to distrust their motives.
I trust, with a handle like yours, you are not counting on the extra 60 feet to be your margin of protection should they come for us folks that don't toe the Obama line.
Actually, I saw someone who fits the profile walking along the other day with a clipboard. He looked at me. I was expecting him to come selling something, but he didn’t. Someone in his twenties. There was a truck or van or something at an intersection nearby. I didn’t think anything of it much at the time except that it was odd, as it was in the mid-afternoon and he didn’t stop at anyone’s house that I saw, but I only saw about 10-15 seconds of this. I just happened to be home. Some dogs started barking, so I went to see what was going on.
We had a census worker knock on our door yesterday. We were only asked one question: are there any other Buildings on the property? (not how many people or any other type of census question). Coincidentially, were in the middle of constructing a garden shed out back, so hubby joked, we’re putting up a shed, we may have to move family in it if the economy gets worse. To which the census worker replied, ‘you have to have faith in OBAMA’ - as she scuttled down the driveway.
Two things bothered us: 1) I was not aware that census workers were allowed to campaign. And 2) it seemed a waste of taxpayer money to hire someone to go door-to-door to hand out a leaflet for the 2010 census in April 2009.
the leaflet we were given was US Census Bureau D-31 (10-0-2008) Census 2010.
If the purpose of the ‘visit’ was to gps front doors, well, it seems they are curious about garden sheds too. What bothered me the most tho, was the campaigning under the flag of the Census Department.
Orwellian, to say the least
I'm a little confused why this is necessary. Of course I worked for several giant corporations during my career, and there is no cure for the "re-inventing the wheel" syndrome.
