Celibacy ISN’T forced. They CHOOSE to go into the priesthood. Geez!!
They will not be ordained if they do not agree to take the vow of celibacy. Why not have them take the vow BEFORE the years of training as opposed to the very end after they’ve invested? Because they are too invested at that point, they don’t want to have done all that for nothing.
Yes, they do, but if the Church didn’t force celibacy, they wouldn’t have to promise to do something that is almost impossible. That’s why there are so many priests who are sinning against God with other men or women.
