Why does the politcally correct left act the way they do? What makes them incapable of listening to reason and what is the driving motivation in their behavior?
Political correctness is a religious cult. These are people who have replaced God in their lives with a God substitute that seeks to create a utopian world. So many politically correct leftists are athiests, others are neo-pagans and liberal Christians. The liberal Christians are the hardest to understand because they are the most confusing. They may go to the church where they grew up but their beliefs are not quite the same as the religion that was handed down to them.
The liberal Christians are not anchored in the Christian word. Their true allegiance is to secular humanism which is why when there is a conflict of belief between the Christian Church and the politically correct, secular humanist view, these church liberals will ALWAYS agree with the secular humanists. They are gradually drifting away from Christianity even embracing some pagan beliefs and practices. In time there will be no resemblance to traditional Chrisitianity.
Politically correct secular humanists have no place for God in their lives and even those who go to church and appear to worship God are actually engaging in a false worship because God is not sovereign to them, they are sovereign to God. In other words, God must obey them since they know better than God. Both the athiests and the liberal false Christians have this same idea at their core.
The frenetic activities of the leftists are a kind of cultish fervor. They have a void in their lives since they do not truly believe in a sovereign God so they seek to fill their lives with some kind of false meaning. Even the endless marches and demonstrations of the leftists are a form of pseudo-religious expression. Many religions use religious processions as a way to express their common faith. Leftists use the political marches as their form of religious procession.
Leftism is also narcissistic, they are in love with their own image.
What gives leftists a sense of meaning is building a utopian future. You cannot try to disuade them from their beliefs because that tears down the whole meaning of their lives. It is like sticking a dagger into their hearts.
For Leftists Humanity is GOD and the Left, specifically the Academic Left, are God’s brain.
