Obama parses words in Notre Dame speech
The K. Ryan James Blog ^ | 17 May 2009 | K. Ryan James

I would submit to the good doctor that, in order to “engage in vigorous debate,” one would do well to use the proper language in description of your point. I am not aware of those who speak out against “stem cell research,” but I do know of many who take issue with the destruction of life that comes with “embryonic stem cell research.”

In a setting where the truthful exchange of ideas, or today’s buzzword of “dialogue,” is to be engaged, it would seem a bit disingenuous for President Obama to omit the word “embryonic” from his teleprompter in order to use liberal talking points instead of the “fair-minded words” he spoke of today.

Since Obama is a lying sack of crap a truthful exchange of ideas is meaningless to him......

I listened to a few minutes than shut it off...I’m so sick of being lectured, at being talked at, rather than talked to, by The One. Can’t stand it anymore.

Excellent point! Further, those whose consciences forbid supporting embryonic stem cell use should not be coerced into supporting it with their hard-earned dollars, forced to do so by the policies of a “fair-minded” President.

Obama thinks he is a smooth talker and "dialogs" his socialist, faith killing agenda to the sheep and the "Catholics" thought they were cute in chastising Obama while recognizing him for his "community organizing" that has left Chicago looking like a third world.

Bigger useless butt kissing has never been seen. Makes me want to puke. Obama and the socialists agenda just pulled the pants down on the Catholic Church right in front of their children.

What happened to the “disturbance” we’ve heard so much about. I didn’t even hear one boo. Fox did show a man in the audience standing up pointing and shouting at 0bama. Several other people were trying stop him.

I'm constantly surprised how many idiot liberals actually think there was some sort of ban against actual stem cell research.

It's so far from the truth, it really calls into question anything else they may profess to believe.

My favorite story, though, was a lib co-worker of mine who said "well, at least they found something productive to do concerning abortions." I realized that he thought this material was the residue of infanticide. Then I realized that he'd procured this information from an episode of South Park.

This is the intellect of an obama voter.

It's difficult to have a "dialogue" when Obama orders those who disagrees with him ARRESTED before his appearance, now isn't it?

Communist "Dialog" means you do as I say and keep compromising.

The Catholic church is already willing subordinate to everyone. They are willingly committing suicide and they think it's a strategy.

Yeah or they get arrested for practicing their rights...

Perception is in the eye of the “rose-colored glasses” of the msm.

Our numbers were greatly squelched through force and threats but you know what the truth WILL prevail, it always does!

If Obama truly wanted to advance the dialogue he would have called on the scientific community to research into the creation of artifical wombs whereby and irresponsible women who winds up pregnant (after all the birth control options still didn’t seem to work) could have the baby transferred to an artificial womb to grow into the person that it was meant to be.

As far as his idiotic arguement that children are a punishment on women, I would suggest that his own mother would never have had him in a country where at the time intolerance of bi-racial relationships and bi-racial children ran high.

No wonder why he struggled with drug abuse as a child, he may still have some Psychological impairment from these realizations but we won’t know about that until it is too late. Too bad Psych evals are not a requirement for the Presidency.

Erosion of principle.

What has happened at ND is happening to our nation. Republicans sitting on their hands during the Jan 8 Joint Session of Congress is a great example.

O’s leverage with ND was, in part, the threat he poses to Catholic hospitals. ND may have thought they could avoid or defer the threat by submitting to O.

“Gallup: American people now PRO-LIFE.”

It would be interesting to see more than one poll and also to know when that “now” occurred.

Seven months ago America selected the presidential candidate that voted against funds for the medical care of babies that mistakenly survived abortion.

Although I am an optimist, my concern is whether the issue will of political significance in the foreseeable future.

“oh, uh, well, you see, uh, the research into embryonic, ah, stem cells is no longer in its infancy and, uh, if I said ‘embryonic stem cell research’ they’d think I, ah, was talking about umm some start-up research project. So, ah, that’s why I omitted that word at the direction of TOTUS. Have a nice day.”

Obama never states his opponents’ views accurately. The Straw Man is as constant a companion as his teleprompter. Even a few liberals have complained about his invariable reliance on the Straw Man.

When it comes to abortion...there IS NO DEBATE. It’s murder plain and simple. Get rid of the baby plain and simple. Kill this baby plain and simple. Debate? What is there to debate?
