Time to Demand Obama’s Resignation:Impeach/Conviction of,treason,bribery,high crimes
Canada Free Press ^ | 6/11/09 | Alan Caruba

Posted on 06/11/2009 7:00:47 AM PDT by bestintxas

“In case of the removal of the President from office, or of his death, resignation, or inability to discharge the powers and duties of said office, the same shall devolve on the Vice President, and the Congress may by law provide for the case of removal…” (Article Two, U.S. Constitution)

Since the President takes an oath to “preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States”, a President who acts contrary to the Constitution or is found guilty of breaking the law should be subject to removal.

Constitutionally, removal can be secured by “impeachment for, conviction of, treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors.”

Here’s a question I would pose to you. If the Supreme Court can act within days to approve the sale of Chrysler to Fiat, why can it not act to hear cases filed months ago regarding whether President Obama is a “natural born” citizen of the United States? Why have some lower courts refused to hear such cases citing that the parties bringing them, citizens under the rule of the Constitution, have no “standing” to do so?

So tell me about the majority caucus in the House who will draft impeachment documents? Once I know we have the numbers there, tell me about the majority in the Senate who will act to impeach?

“I would argue that a President who appoints over twenty “czars” to supersede the powers of the secretaries of various federal departments; people who are apparently exempt from Congressional approval or oversight, and people who apparently do not feel the need to hold press conferences to explain what they are doing, is distinctly unconstitutional.”

PING!! Thanks for posting this article.

The line of succession: 1) Biden 2) Pelosi....we’d still be screwed.

Politicians are not idiots.

They will preserve their own hide if they determine the mob is angry at Zero.

The key is to form the mob, not wait around until the “right” politicians are in congress.

This is starting to get silly. There is like a race to see who can start this process when a new president takes office

I think that along with President and Vice President, the ballot should include right below a nominee for special prosecutor assigned to the president’s term in office.

It isn’t silly when the individual occupying the White House is a thug, criminal, or is in violation of the Constitution. Obama qualifies on all three counts.

The bigger question is, why stop at just Him. The Congress & Senate have been, as, or more egregious than just him, aid & comfort to the enemy, lying, misrepresentation, dishonoring the oath of which they all took to "Support & Defend the constitution.

Certifying an election without adjudicating the facts.

The bottom line is will the American people remain apathetic or act.

RULE 4: "Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules." If the rule is that every letter gets a reply, send 30,000 letters. You can kill them with this because no one can possibly obey all of their own rules.

~ Saul Alinsky, "Rules for Radicals".

The rules (United States Code) state that the President may be impeached on a majority vote of the lower chamber. Will a Leftist chamber impeach The Messiah? Are you willing to break your own rules?

The rules further state that the actual impeachment proceedings are the purview of the upper chamber. Will a Leftist Senate impeach The Won? Are you willing to break your own rules?

All this talk of impeachment is foolishness. The majority of you Ameriqans wanted your current mess, and now you should be made to wallow in it.

What the libs have said and done is very effective.

They have been able to get a lot of naive Americans to not support our troops in a war that was begun to avenge the Americans who died in 9/11.

We should emulate their effective tactics.

Also, if they are indeed traitors by supporting the enemy in time of war, they should be tried for treason and the traitor’s punishment should be given to them.

TOO SOON. Wait Sons of Liberty! The day will come when such demands will be seen not as partisan snipping but as a real need. Biden is a fool but he would never get us in this problem. Once Obama is forced to resign, He will select Hillary as his VP, then he can be forced out. Hillary, with all of her faults could never be as bad as Obama. Pelosi will not be in her place of power by 2011. If we can get a good turn out in the election—the GOP can dominate. I would love to see John Voight run for Senate in California, win and be named speaker of the house. I can dream can’t I. That or Duncan Hunter. Even Newt could do a great job. Things will not always be as they are.
