If I’m stupid enough to answer the phone without listening to who it is first (I screen most calls), I always ask them to send me written material. If it’s something worthy, I’ll send them a few dollars (never much). The GOP who called and got nasty will get nothing. Sarah, yes, GOP, no.
I ask for something in writing first, too, and they never have a policy of sending out written material without a pledge first.
They lose any chance of getting anything out of me that way. It just screams *scam* at me.
We donate to whom we choose to, not because someone comes by with their hand out.
