The rates of polio are going up as well, because people who have no direct knowledge of these horrid diseases are refusing to vaccinate their kids.

Court “wins” such as this, based more on sympathy than science, have the potential to do a LOT of harm.

These diseases may be miserable, but they are not deadly.

I sense that you think that the court should have made its decision based on something other than the facts of the case. Many of us would call that legal relativism (Sotomayor-style?). If children are being damaged by vaccines - and they are, gravely - and Congress has chosen to give immunity to the vaccine manufacturers, what do you think parents of the vaccine-injured children should do? Lose their home and live under a bridge? Someone has to pay.

We researched vaccines extensively before opting not to vaccinate our children. None of the pro-vaccine books were of any value because they simply re-stated public policy. Where are the double-blind placebo studies? If vaccines are safe, why do vaccine manufacturers get immunity from the billions of dollars of awards to vaccine-damaged children?
