Obama’s health care proposal is, in effect, the repeal of the Medicare program as we know it. The elderly will go from being the group with the most access to free medical care to the one with the least access. Indeed, the principal impact of the Obama health care program will be to reduce sharply the medical services the elderly can use. No longer will their every medical need be met, their every medication prescribed, their every need to improve their quality of life answered.

I think this is one of those things the AARP won’t be able to control their members over.

Limited colonoscopies have led to a 25% higher rate of colon cancer and a ban on the use of the two best chemotherapies are part of the reason why 42% of Canadians with colon cancer die while 31% of Americans, who have access to these two medications, survive the disease.

Yeah, they'll have to pull a Romney and after it's clear the tide has turned get out and try to pretend like they were leading all along.

I told this to my Brother in Law who gets a lot of treatments for his blood disease from medicare. I told him under Obama care he was a dead man, but the fool still has his head up Obama’s butt and doesnt believe it can happen.

Too many people are like my brother-in-law either too stupid or too in denial to realise that older p[eople will soon be a thing of the past. Soylent Green it aint , but burying the aged is almost as bad as making food out of them. Either way old folks are in for some rough times if Obama gets this garbage through.

Seasoned citizens will be hopping mad when they find the lush benefits they get from Medicare are replaced with rationed care plan that favors younger members over older ones. No more Viagra, power chairs or cheap drugs. The Medicare crowd better get used to standing in line for medical care and being bumped from treatment by someone half their age.

preserve Medicare as we know it and keep medical care open, accessible, and free to those over 65.

Free?

OK, I'm not yet Medicare age, but I thought that there was a premium to pay, just like insurance, and that it only covered 80% of med bills. Correct me, please, if I have it wrong.

I can’t believe just how many gullable, ignorant, color biased, or just plain stupid people there are who voted for this disaster.

They actually think it won’t happen to them.

They forget they’re just a tiny piece of the BIG picture coming down the pike.

Maybe Obama is a big fan of Science Fiction, it sounds like he’s borrowing lots of ideas from Logan’s Run and Soylent Green.

No medicare is NOT free. It just helps a LOT!

You pay taxes on Medicare and I think SS when you start those I believe.
I know I do on Medicare.

You should get a supplemental insurance for Medical and Rx insurance
that Medicare doesn’t cover. This is handy if you go to a hospital.

Some plans have both or you can get either one from different insurers.

You also pay your supplemental insurance co-pays for doctor/specialist visits and hospital admission.

So far they been pretty darn good. They have gone up every year.

and that it only covered 80% of med bills. Correct me, please, if I have it wrong.

It covers certain items, has a limit on hospital stays rarely pays the entire Dr. bill. Better have supplemental ins.

medicare is not FREE...the Government takes $96.40 out of your monthly social security.

Plus the withholding you have been paying every paycheck for years.

Thanks, I thought Morris had it wrong. I am blessed to have insurance presently, but am looking at SS and Medicare in a few. I don't think that Medicare is enough, even with additional coverage policies.

At least my insurance has a $1000 of of pocket max per year. That can be helpful if something major comes along, and it did last year for me.

Logan's Run and Carouse, (Dems good at this), Sell, (Dem's the absolute used car salesman).

As my old Sicilian Grandfather would answer when asked the question,

"Where is Maine?", (or Obama).

He would answer,

"Uppa US"!

Isn't it something? They're all watching TV and feeling just fine now that this marxist is running the show. The Russians must really be enjoying this one...
