The Health Care P.R. Debacle
The Provocateur ^ | 07/17/2009 | Mike Volpe

The president is finishing up a news conference that crystallizes in my mind the problem the Democrats have been facing regarding health care reform. He has a very sharp and clear message in this news conference. He has laid out what health care reform means: lower costs, universal coverage, a health care exchanges, and preventative care. Had this been the message for the last two to three months, it's very likely that the public would embrace health care reform in a much robust way than it currently is. That, however, is NOT what happened.

So there was is only a PR problem w/ the Dem effort?

How about... Their plan stinks? We don’t want them to take over 17% of the US economy? We don’t want to give up more of our freedom?

of course there wasn’t anything new. There doesn’t necessarily need to be, but at least he was on message.

He obviously forgot the biggest thing of all. How you get forced into the government plan, if you make any changes in your health insurance.

The president had a good and consistent message today.

The message is consistent, the Democrat government wants to run our lives from cradle to grave and saddle us with ever increasing punitive taxation to do so.

There isn't a damn "good" thing about that message.

The President's "good and consistent message" is an outright lie. Who the hell is this a**hole Mike Volpe and why should we care what he thinks?

Zero stinks. Demoncreeps in general stink. All their plans stink. They are driving the final nails into America’s coffin. May they all roast in hell.

Is this President running the country, or just making TV appearances. When somebody finally wakes up, they are going to find out some very subversive people are in charge right now behind the scenes and Obama is just a mouthpiece. I’ve been voting since 1968, and NO President has Ever taken on so many “initiatives” at one time. This guy ain’t Superman.

Typical liberal assessment of a crappy policy....”we just need to sell it better to make it work...”

The ‘Bama got elected on his ethnicity and smooth rhetoric. The thrill of his ethnicity, to those who were thrilled by it, has worn off, and the smooth rhetoric has gotten boring. He has nothing left to offer; the Office of the President of the United States has been all but vacated.

The SEIU had their rent-a-picket crew out in downtown Indianapolis on Wednesday plugging Baraqqicare.

What disgusts me is that all the local tv news outlets present video of this like it’s some kind of legitimate public support for socialized medicine rather than a bunch of union hacks diverted from their janitor jobs for the afternoon.
