Thomas J. DiLorenzo, published author and senior fellow at the Mises Institute, discusses the principle of nullification as a devolution of power away from the central government into the hands of the state or the people, Thomas Jefferson and the Kentucky Resolves as resistance to the Alien and Sedition Acts in 1798, ways nullification was put into practice all across the Union in the early days of the Republic, Andrew Jackson and resistance to the bank of the United States, the Tariff of Abominations, nullification of the fugitive slave act, the slander of racism that proponents of big government often throw out at supporters of decentralization, secession as the ultimate brake on government, the power and control of the IRS and the Federal Reserve, the Second Vermont Republic, and the progression of dictatorial powers through the Bush and Obama administrations.

Otherwise, a good discussion.
Look into the Mises institute. They know their stuff.
Wish we could nullify all this BS. The natives are getting restless out here. Gov. Perry just said Texas will resist Obama Health plan under 10th amendment.
LOL! Non-mainstream unless you are an SS member!
I would not be surprised to see the US break up. It would have both good and bad consequences, and we would be in for a time of dangerous chaos. However, I can’t see things going on as they are now, because of the differences between the states. The red states and blue states can’t stand each other.

Mr. DiLorenzo has a few issues with the Jews and Negroes, doesn’t he?
Would appreciate your views.

Thank you, very much.
DiLorenzo is in favor of the original constitutional order, with sovereign states who have general power and the central government with very limited power (unlike the twisted order of the day where the central behemoth controls all and the states do little more than issue license plates.)
He knows his stuff.
Personally I have a lot of respect for Lew Rockwell. He & most of the people who write columns on his website seem to be strict Constitutionists & who seem to be serious about getting the gov’t to return back to its constitutional foundation....something you rarely see anymore these days.
I appreciate you sharing your view.
