Here is video from last night where Katie Couris of CBS News slammed the New York Times for an article it did on Walter Cronkite that she said contained "not one, not two, but seven errors." She reeled off several of the errors and then concluded with saying that as journalists, we need to be careful that when we say "that's the way it is, it really is." Cronkite died one week ago at the age of 92.
Amen to that. . . . . . (Watch Video)

Who watches this has-been anyway?
Thanks for specifying the type of surgery she had.
All these years I have spent misplaced sympathy on Katie!
I always had a soft spot for her, thinking that its not fair to blame someone who had a colonectomy for being full of shit.
Er, uh... that should be "alleged errors," or does she get to be detective, prosecutor, judge and hangman because of how much she's paid, soaking up all the budgetary money for those other jobs?

Gosh, now Katie knows what it’s like to be on the other end of the gun. As a local elected official many years ago, I was a subject of occasional press attention, and with the exception of one exceptional reporter, errors of fact were rife. Also, every once in a while, I would be directly privy to some event being reported and noticed errors of fact were epidemic. And finally, acting as our own independent fact checkers, we all know that the MSM deliberately reports errors of fact to support their own agenda.
Fundamentally, most reporters are lazy, ignorant of the subjects being reported, or have an ax to grind. So, it’s totally laughable to hear Katie come unglued about this issue. Really, Katie, people who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones.
So she was throwing a tantrum to get some attention.
“Look at me! Look at me! I can count to seven!”
