Hmmm—I wonder of old Newt is beginning to understand that Sarah Palin will be a conservative force to be reckoned with come 2012. He has not said positive things about her in the past.

Also, I think it’s instructive that he is following her lead not vice versa.

Never was comfortable with Newt. Waving the “Contract with America” around always reminded of the Chicoms waving Maos “Little Red Book” around when they were subjecting people they believed to be “revisionists” to humiliation or worse. I did not like the fact that he left his first wife under the circumstances he did. And I though he caved entirely to fast on the allegations that he committed some kind of election nono or something.

He, Mary Maitlan, Peggy Noonan, Bill Crystal, George Will and a host of others need to go away. They are a losing team. Passe. New conservative blood, people who’re willing to call things what they are and face down the opposition liars, must come to the fore and LEAD.

I’m way too old to take the point. But I would be happy to join the right team.

Uh, Newt has always been very supportive of Sarah, so I don't know where you are getting that. They both know how important using our natural resources is to revitalizing the country. I have heard him say many, many good things about Palin. I have not heard him say anything negative. They are on the same side.
