Olbermann marvels at “just how stupid” the opponents of high taxes and Obamacare are

On his Countdown program Thursday, Keith Olbermann demonstrated once again that because of his boiling hatred for anyone whose ideology differs from his own, he is entirely incapable of engaging in linear thought or reasoned debate. In this particular episode, Olbermann designated former Reagan economic advisor Arthur Laffer as the days Worst Person in the World, disparaging Laffer as the pusher of the discredited notion that tax cuts for the rich stimulated the economy, and the creator of the farcical Laffer Curve. The Laffer Curve is a concept which contends that at a given point of increased taxation, business activity will diminish because of the reduced economic incentives that accompany higher taxes, thereby causing the government to receive less tax revenue rather than more. Olbermann is particularly annoyed with Laffer these days, because of the latters opposition to the Obama/Democrat plan for government-run health care.
Sneering that Laffers name befits his purportedly clownish economic theories, Olbermann contemptuously marveled at just how stupid Laffer and other critics of health care reform
are about this topic. He then quoted Laffer saying:
If you like the Post Office and the Department of Motor Vehicles and you think theyre run well, just wait until you see Medicare, Medicaid, and Healthcare done by the government.
Olbermann then looked directly at the camera and mocked Laffer by addressing these comments to him directly:
Medicare and Medicaid are already done by the government. Theyre government programs. This also just in, Dr. Laffer: Lindburgh has landed safely in Paris.

If the Laffer Curve is “farcical” then MSNBC should quadruple their ad rates,no more money problems and then they can afford to hire hosts people will want to see.

Only a Reagan sized landslide will shut them up.
We have to persevere.

255,000 people turn in to watch him spew hate, a third of them agree with him, another third might agree with a small amount of his cult logic, and maybe another third because the other channels have gone blank and Jerry Springer is not on.

Keith...don’t go there. Really, just don’t. In a battle of wits against Art Laffer, you’re not only unarmed, you’re running in bellowing “LEEROY JENKINS!!!”

The real issue here isn't Olbermann. Anyone with a triple digit IQ knows the guy has real mental issues. He's more pathetic than annoying. It's only a matter of time before he has a mental breakdown. He needs professional help and I think he should be kept away from sharp objects.
No the real issue here is MSNBC and the assorted crackpots who are on the air. The network (if you want to call it that) has the biggest assortments of buffoons you will find this side of the NY Times editorial page. MSNBC doesn't even try to conceal their bias. It's one thing to have a political point in an editorial page. It's something different to inject it into the news stories . Every show on MSNBC is more comedy than news. They passed pathetic a long time ago. But the question is: Who's running the show? The decision to move hard left, who made it. Why? Were they so far behind FOX that they decided that there was a lunatic audience out there for what they are doing. Why hasn't Microsoft or NBC pulled the plug on this operation. They should be embarrassed. But are they passed the point of embarrassment? The network is a disgrace and even the liberals know it. Even they criticize the shows.
With such low ratings, how can they sell enough advertising to stay on the air? Maybe they don't pay the assortment of buffoons much money so perhaps that the reason. You get more real news from the shopping channels, and certainly more intelligence.

Earth calling Olbermann....Medicare and Medicaid are BANKRUPT. Obama wants to Bankrupt the Private Companies to level the playing field. That will make it fair.
To: GeronL
I like that, your very good. I will have to remember your example.
