Pity we aren't building the nuclear power plants to generate the clean electricity.

The Chevrolet Volt's 230 mpg number continues to be questioned.

It's easy to prove one way or another: Get a Government Motors Chevy Volt with dead batteries, then give them a gallon of gas and a 230 mile distant finish line.

If they make it to the finish line the Chevy Volt gets 230 MPG, if not, it's a perfect example of what we are getting from Obama... B.S.

I thought all of our electricity came from that magical wall outlet. < /S >

Think of the market share we'll have in France...

How can you possibly have an MPG rating when there is no liquid fuel?

I am so ashamed of the EPA. It is their job to debunk this claim, and they have said nothing. They have thrown away what little credibility they had left in support of an obviously fraudulent advertising campaign.

But it takes lots of coal and dirty energy to fuel that clean electric car.

All of it is bogus and there IMO is still nothing on the horizon regarding clean or cheap energy beyond oil.

I can see it now: a Sense of the Congress resolution stating that the Volt gets 230 MPG. That should settle that issue. Our Congress taking charge and getting things done. While they’re at it they could add in a long needed amendment to that resolution declaring the official value of PI to be 3.000000. Millions of geometry and trig students would be so, so grateful.

They out to sell them with windmills or solar panels to charge it up. Once the ecoweinies see that they have to have 5 days of bright sun or strong wind to charge this thing up maybe the light will begin to break on these nutballs that so called alternative energy is actually and alternative to energy.
