I carry the USPc .40, which replaced the S&W 4516-2 a few more years back than I care to think about...
Had I waited another week, I could have got the same weapon in .45 ACP, which’d have saved big bucks in brass, dies, and bullet molds.
But the piece fits, and it works for me.
I like the .45ACP Springfield XD a lot. With Gold Dot police rounds in it, it is very effective. The XD is a little boxy for concealed carry but I manage quite well. I have a 9mm and a .380 for carry but nothing replaces my .45ACP.
I like what the guy said “The reason I carry a .45 is because they don’t make a .46”!
