Today, at noon Central Time, Daley Plaza was the home of one of 435 tea party demonstrations against Obama Care. This particular protest was directed specifically at Senator Dick Durbin. Senator Durbin declined to attend and the crowd let Durbin know just how they felt about his lack of attention to his constituency. This demonstration was promoted by John and Cisco of 560 WIND. The Thomas More Law Center was also a sponsor and they did the leg work in getting the permit.

What a shame the US has NO media outlet which will report this information.

Do you even read the intro? This was sponsored by a local radio station. That is media coverage. My goodness.

“This was sponsored by a local radio station. That is media coverage.”

I think he had something bigger in mind. Heck, reporting it on Free Republic is technically “media coverage,” but not the sort that counts.

Well, WIND is fairly big in Chicago. Were you all expecting for the Chicago Tea Party to lead the national news? How big did you want the local tea party to get. There’s very few things worse than cynicism for the sake of cynicism and proclaiming that this wasn’t covered when clearly it was is just cynical for the sake of cynicism. It was covered. All of them were covered. They were covered locally. Some of us would like to see wall to wall coverage but that isn’t going to happen but read an intro in which it states that a local station was the sponsor and then say that there’s no media coverage is nonsense.

“Were you all expecting for the Chicago Tea Party to lead the national news?”

I’m not expecting anything. Just trying to explain what other people might have been expecting.

Well, if anyone wanted for a local tea party to receive national news that was unrealistic. This received plenty of local attention as it should have.
