Obama is an amateur about whom we know very little. He was run for president by others and now we’ve got at least another three years and some change.

When you get the Joker outside his comfort zone, he knows nothing. Just watch him in the townhalls, he talks about the things people aren’t asking questions about.

It’s a failure seen with most demagogues.

He can't teach.

How can this be? He was the greatest constitutional law professor of his generation. His lesson plans are masterpieces and his lectures are legendary. Just ask all of his ex-students. Or pore over his college transcripts. Or download his lecture series on YouTube.

Seriously. He's just as good at being a teacher as he is at being a racial healer. Or a patriotic American. You can look it up.

Liberalism is what is “lost”. Obama is just leading it further into the woods, as guided by the brilliant star of his own celebrity rather than by a moral compass, which itself was dropped by liberals years ago, somewhere back along the trail.

It has been a month now, and the one sure thing we have learned in this extended teachable moment is about Obama himself. He can't teach.

Wow! This from Richard Cohen?

Obama is Chauncey Gardiner with a Harvard sheepskin. He speaks grandly but still can only use platitudes.

He doesn't know about the specifics...just hope and change. And that won't cut it when running a country. People ultimately want details, not vague generalities.

The only REAL details that Obama knows are about how to banish Whitey (and the civilization he gave birth to) and how to replace it with Collectivism (the new Civilization of Entitlement...made by and for the Entitled).

It’s a beautiful thing to read Cohen whining and noting the similarities of Obama, LBJ and Jimmy Carter. LOL

One commentator on FoxNews this morning indicated that the problem with Obama Administration is that they can’t find a villain.

They tried to vilify townhall attendees, but those are grassroots crowds. They tried to vilify doctors. They tried to vilify insurance companies. Etc. Each attempt sort of blew up in their faces.

The CIA investigation is a new attempt to divert attention away from the flailing health care/insurance plan and to resurrect vilification of Bush officials.

The only “teaching moment” regarding the Crowley/Gates business is that our president is the Luo Tribesman in Chief, a racist, an idiot, and about as politically savvy as a snail.

Gates should’ve been smiling and offering Crowley a coffee for his trouble. (That’s Sarah Palin America). Anything else is nonsense.

It's not "coolness" that gets him in trouble - it's arrogance. He believes his pronouncements on any topic will be profound and enlightening, even if he's rather ignorant about it.

It's not "coolness"; it's "cluelessness".

The Gates incident wasn't about racial profiling. Gates tried to make it so and Obama was happy to play along. When a President screws up so badly as to pre-judge a legal case, it should be controversial. Shades of: "Nixon: Manson Guilty".

Similarly with Medical Insurance. There is no bill, there are two bills, there's a public option, there doesn't have to be, if there isn't there's no reform, it supports abortion funding - by not excluding it, and on and on. The whole thing is a mess.

Somehow if you ask any questions about it, or oppose any part of it, you're an un-American, evil, Nazi dupe of talk radio. Talk radio, that's the culprit. No it's those Republicans, you know the ones controlling zero branches of the government. No wait, it's the evil insurance companies. Now it's surgeons performing unnecessary amputations and tonsillectomies. Obama is in way over his head. He's not a leader. He's an ignorant, arrogant, narcissistic bully.

ObamaCare has been such a close parallel to HillaryCare it's amazing. Shrillary tried to bypass Congress, the doctors and the insurance companies. Then she tried to bully anyone who laid down on the railroad tracks. 0bama is V2.0.

Strange piece. The author says zero failed to teach on the Gates issue because he didn't make the case of racial profiling real for those of us who just don't get it. Problem is that it wasn't racial profiling. Gates made the mistake. So the author claims zero failed to teach, when the lesson was bogus to begin with. The author then claims zero fails to teach on health care by not convincing people afraid of "reform" that reform is necessary to avoid poverty which is what they really fear. Again the author doesn't understand the problem. People don't "fear" poverty. If they fear anything it's an inflexible, unresponsive bureaucracy dictating what health care they can purchase.

Nice to see libs misdiagnosing zero's problems, however. As long as they continue to NOT understand what their problems are, the more they will fail. Note that this author does have the same condescending tone as zero himself. They must "teach" us imbecile rednecks.

As anyone can tell, Cohen is a communist fossil from the ‘60s.
I’m guessing he wears a gray/white ponytail.

Unlike Carter, Obama brims with energy and charm. His brilliance is not brittle but supple.

I thought Obama was cool, which can't also be brimming with energy and charm. And where is this brilliance? Maybe Richard Cohen can give us a link to the YouTube video of Obama off teleprompter emanating all this supple brilliance. There isn't any, Obama is a plodding mediocrity.
