That’s our rule, “It’s always loaded”
my kids know to NEVER touch anything because it is always loaded. Although I have many, only one really is and it is still kept out of reach / or on my persons.
I have 4 kids, a daughter who is 21, all the way down to 10. Each of them know better than to even think about touching one unsupervised.
