This is not a racial thing, either, there are not many black people in Maine other than the Somali immigrants. It's the result of years of liberal policy experiments, choking state regulation of business, and debates dominated by a liberal professoriat at all those expensive private colleges.
(My husband graduated from Waterville High and Colby, so I know what I'm talking about. His father could not get a business going there after his company closed in the late 1970s, so he moved to Masachusetts.)
What about Freeport’s “Abandoned Building Festival”?
There are quite a few african americans living in Portland and they are slaves to the socialist plantation. The few that succeed in getting a job there have their money taken and given to welfare bums.
You are correct. It is not racist to point these things out. Matter of fact, there's a housing project in Dover and another one in Portsmouth. Almost all white, none of them want to work. The blacks get taxed to death in Maine. I knew one brother who worked at one of these places, he offered a white 21 year old with 4 children a job, she's all like, "I GET 2100$ I don't need to WORK!"
Its because of my experience in Maine that I despise liberalism.
