I believe she *is* smart enough but she still has to prove it to the nation that was subject to a Sarah Palin assassination campaign.
Now that she is independent she has the time and (soon) money to rise from the ashes of the McRino campaign and shake off her lying leftist tormentors.

I’m hoping now that she is not bound and gagged by that idiot McLame, she can come out, say what she wants to say, and by God I pray she sounds intelligent and can sell it. I’ll vote for her. And if she’ll pick a rock-solid VP we’ve got a winning ticket. I believe she could have beat Obama if not tethered by the RINO. The Republican party needs her, but cannot afford another POTUS so easily portrayed as an embicile like W. She MUST get educated and polished for the national stage, and I think she can do it if she puts her mind to it. I think that’s what she’s doing now.
