Since the people at Powerline have made a big public announcement about it, I’ll just say that I’m not the least surprised that they’ve delinked LGF. Powerline has been going in a very bad direction recently; the “all Obama-hatred, all the time” focus is bad enough, but worse are their articles supporting European extremists like Geert Wilders (who wants to deprive Muslims of the freedom of religion and ban books) and outright fascists like the Belgian Vlaams Belang party.
I’ve been considering removing them from my links for quite some time because of this kind of disturbing stuff, but I was foolish enough to believe they might come to their senses. I’ve written emails to them about it (which weren’t returned), and I wrote a post laying out my case, that they completely ignored. Clearly, this is a direction they’ve chosen, so I’ve removed all links to Powerline from LGF.
Charles has jumped the shark. Powerline is only reflecting that reality.
He’s becoming an Obama chinslurp.
He swallowed Obama’s ‘Hope and Change’ with too much Kool-Aid.
I have stop visiting LGF a long time because Johnson HAS SIMPLY LOST IT.
I go to LGF not for the rantings of the owner, which are over the top and off the edge, but for the news stories posted at the top. A lot of good postings there, the rest forget.

Maybe he just needs to get something out of his system. Wow - talk about being unable to tolerate different opinions. He calls Christian’s extremists now. I looked at few posts and its pretty accurate. He doesn’t just pick on the kooks, it looks like anyone who describes themselves as a Christian is an extremist to Johnson.
Extremist? Islamic fundamentalists are murdering people who critique Islam and Wilders is the extremist?
Now Charles can spend more time figuring out how his great-grandparents were chimps.
Same for LGF. He was in the forefront during Rathergate, but since then he's gone back to his liberal self.
Yeah, Johnson has really lost it. I wonder what happened to turn him to the side of the Enemy.
Franky Schaefer is another, similar case. How could a champion of Good suddenly turn his back on Truth? It boggles the mind.

I de-linked him myself when he started on the creationism crap...

Goodness, I didn’t know LGF still existed. I guess Charles deserved a good delinking.

I used to be a big LGF fan, although I was never a registered member of the site.
But I stopped visiting many months ago as Charles started slowly evolving into another Andrew Sullivan. That process is now pretty much complete.
