And even going a bit further, because their belief system is based on feelings rather than facts, when someone disagrees with them, it goes to the core of their personhood; it diminishes them. With conservatives like you, me and the rest of the Freepers, if a lib disagrees with us, we just think they are either ignorant, dumb or deranged. And sometimes, it's the hat trick.
But we don't take it personally as they do.
And sometimes, I say "Well, maybe you've got something there."
Being a conservative means always having to think, and examine your viewpoint. Look at FR, ask a question of 2 FReepers, and you're likely to get three opinions.
Liberals, for the most part, just run with the herd and let others do the thinking for them. Dissent is quashed....look at the DU. Ask a question of 100 DUmmies, and you'll get 99 saying the same thing, and one will get banned.
Likely the one banned will be a Lousy Freeper Troll....but that's besides the point.
